Create and verify your customer account
Choose Customer sign up and verify your email, then use Customer sign in to open My bookings. You can install the web app on a supported phone or computer using Install App. Installation and notification permission are separate steps.
Marketing emails are an optional, separate choice at sign-up. After your first email verification, your welcome email includes the customer booking guide. Change your marketing choice in Communication preferences at any time; account and appointment messages continue.
Save your dog's details
In My bookings, add your dog’s name and breed or variety, then enter its age in whole years and remaining months. You can also enter a birth date. A listed breed automatically supplies its size and dog type. Use Breed not listed / mixed breed to enter an unknown breed and request classification from your chosen groomer before booking. Add care, health and medication information that your groomer needs, including reactivity around dogs and people. Keep these details up to date.
Find a groomer and choose the visit
In Find a groomer, select one or more saved dog profiles before searching by name, town, postcode or Eircode. The results show businesses that accept all selected dogs. General browsing remains available. Name suggestions appear as you type. Companies registered opens a company list with its own search bar. PIN and approved-customer businesses are included when listed. Distance is approximate. Open the business's profile to see its details and booking options. Some businesses use an external booking link or accept only approved customers.
On a GoGroomPets booking page, select saved dogs or save a new profile. Known breeds use the assigned price band. Dogs six months and under on the appointment date can choose an offered puppy version; open its description to compare it with the regular service. Select a service or available single-item appointment, optional extras, and a date and time. If needed, select one available Matted dog level and check its price. A business may let you select a groomer, or assign any available groomer automatically. You can add several dogs; check the price and duration for each one and the combined total. Select appointment times one after another. If a date makes a puppy too old for the selected puppy version, choose a regular service instead. Unknown breeds must first be approved by this groomer.
For a business with several sites, choose your branch before checking its prices and availability. A direct branch link already selects that site. Each branch has its own hours, care rules and service prices.
Review the agreement and confirm
Check your contact details, the care agreement, price, cancellation rules and any deposit requirement. Use an international phone prefix, such as +44 or +353. Availability is reserved only when the booking succeeds.
A deposit may need online payment before the visit is confirmed. When online payments are unavailable, follow the groomer's payment-on-collection wording. Check your confirmation email and My bookings for the current status.
Choose notifications and add the visit to your calendar
Email and app notifications are free. In My bookings, choose Enable app notifications on this device, allow notifications and use Send test notification. Check that an alert appears on the device. Repeat this on other devices you use.
Confirmed visits have email and app reminders seven days before and the day before; short-notice visits receive only reminder stages still in the future. App reminders need an enabled device. SMS and WhatsApp are greyed out as Coming soon. Email and app notifications remain available.
Use Add to calendar on a visit to download its calendar file. Open or import it in your calendar app. This is a copy: changes to your booking do not automatically update it, so check My bookings after a change.
Book again, choose follow-ups or join a waitlist
Use Book again after a completed visit to start a fresh booking with your dog and service. Review current details, price, agreement and available time before confirming. The previous payment and signature are not reused.
In Rebooking and waitlist preferences, choose email/app follow-ups separately for each grooming site and save. The normal interval is six weeks after your last completed groom, with any interval your groomer has configured. Clear both choices or use the stop link in a follow-up email to opt out. This is separate from GoGroomPets marketing and ordinary booking reminders.
On the booking page's Date & time step, join this site's waitlist using a saved dog, service and suitable dates/times. Your grooming team chooses whether to send an offer. An offered time is not reserved and may fill before you book. View offers or withdraw your request in My bookings.
Manage visits and get help
Use My bookings to view upcoming visits and appointment history. A confirmed visit can be moved through your account until 72 hours before it starts, using an available slot. Closer to the visit, contact your groomer and follow their cancellation and rescheduling rules.
If your groomer suggests extras during the visit, open the notification or My bookings. Check the extra cost and new total, then choose Yes, approve extras or No, decline extras. Only approval adds the charge; answering does not take payment. When your dog is ready to collect, follow the update or open Choose how to pay. Choose online payment, cash or a card terminal from the methods your groomer accepts. Online payment finishes on the secure payment page. Cash or terminal selection tells your groomer the intended method; the balance stays due until they receive and record payment.
Contact your groomer about appointments, prices, care and refunds. For account or website help, contact support@gogroompets.com. If a verification email is missing, check junk mail and that you used the correct email address.
